Here are some fixes for some common problems with the SwitchBot S10
Have Wi-Fi issues?
If you encounter difficulties with networking, we recommend that you try the following steps when trying to add S10 to our app:
- Make sure your SwitchBot App version is up to date.
- Check if there are any special characters (such as @#$ etc.) or spaces in your Wi-Fi name or password. Note: This problem should be resolved with the latest version.
- Make sure your S10 is connected to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
- For mesh Wi-Fi, disable the Fast Roaming feature.
- If you cannot get the S10 connected to your Wi-Fi, try connecting using a mobile hotspot and updating your S10 firmware to the latest version before attempting home Wi-Fi again.
- If you’re using an Android phone, you may try borrowing an iPhone to get the initial steps complete as some users have reported that worked for them.
Mopping causing streaks on the floor.
Initially there may be some streaks when mopping. Other users have reported this improved after a few goes or with increasing the amount of water used on the mop in the settings. You can also remove the mop to give it a good wet and scrub in the sink to loosen up the mop. Make sure to wring out as much water as possible if trying this.
Cleaning solution is not being added.
In the SwitchBot app, you need to turn on the option to add cleaning solution. You can do so by opening the Switchbot App then the S10 and going to the settings cog in the top right.
Then go to the Maintenance menu and turn on Auto-add Solution
Roller mop has some smell to it.
If you arent using the cleaning solution in the water station, you may need to adjust the drying time of the roller mop to be longer. This can be done in the settings of the S10. It is recommended to use the cleaning solution.
Rolled mop is not lowering to the floor.
Some people have found their rolled mop is not lowering, which means it will not clean the floor. Its been said if you remove the mop and put it back in it may unstick the problem.
Also someone had success pushing on the grey piece at the end of the roller mop (not the side that spins the roller) which can get stuck.
S10 not docking to both docking stations.
Some may have issues with the S10 docking to the charging and water stations. This may be because of the position of the docking stations.
It is recommended that the stations are at least 3m apart.
It will likely work if there is less separation between the stations, so it may be a case of trial and error.
